The Stockmann Group's sales in January were down by 1.4 per cent and amounted to EUR 85.0 million in the continuing product areas and businesses. The Group’s total sales in January were EUR 102.2 million.
Stockmann Retail's sales in the continuing product areas and businesses were down by 10.1per cent. The decline was according to plan and due to lower merchandise volumes in the season sale than in the previous year. In Finland, sales were down by 10.6 per cent and by 7.7 per cent in the Baltic countries. Stockmann sold its department store business in Russia on 1 February 2016. The Russian department store business is reported as discontinued operations.
Lindex's sales were up 5.5per cent at comparable exchange rates. The good sales development continued, with growth in all countries except in Finland and Russia. Euro-denominated sales were up 6.6per cent, or 8.1 per cent excluding Russia.

Continuing product areas and businesses exclude Russian retail operations, Seppälä, Hobby Hall, Stockmann Beauty, the airport store and the product areas the company has withdrawn from in department stores (electronics, books, sports equipment, toys and pet supplies).
Stockmann’s total sales in January 2016 were EUR 102.2 million, including retail business in Russia and Hobby Hall. In January 2015, sales were EUR 119.4 million, including also Seppälä and discontinued product areas in department stores.
Change-%: change compared with the corresponding period of the previous year. The Group's sales figures include merchandise sales exclusive VAT in stores and department stores. The figures do not include other operating income such as rental income or service fees.
