Finland's leading distance retailer Hobby Hall celebrated its 50th anniversary 29 June 2012. The company's story began in 1962 in the small mail order company Concert Hall Society, focusing on record sales.

Hobby Hall has brought the Finns a number of best-sellers: e.g. the legendary fitness tool Bullworker and favorite products of Finnish homes from bread machines to Philips multi-function machines. Hobby Hall has also made fashion history by dressing the people in shell suits!

Today Hobby Hall is a part of the Stockmann Department Store Division's distance retail unit, which also includes the online stores Stockmann.com and Akateeminen.com.
