Responsibility is an integral and recognized part of all Stockmann Group's business, supports our business targets and promotes efficiency. We take measures to reduce the environmental impact of our actions, and offer our customers responsible shopping experiences.
Our operations are ethical, just and show respect for environmental values. Responsibility is not only linked to our own business but is an essential part of the whole supply chain. We show respect to our customers, personnel, suppliers, investors, and other stakeholders.
We comply with legislation and regulations in the countries that we operate. The basis for our work is the UN Global Compact's 10 principles regarding human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals are stated in our group-level CSR strategy that is implemented in all our business divisions. We integrate responsibility into daily work and decision-making of personnel working at Stockmann.
We measure our actions, set targets to reduce our impact on the environment, and report our sustainability performance. We are committed to the principle of continuous improvement.
We are actively taking part in external networks and cooperating with authorities, other companies, and interest groups to promote responsibility. Our communication is open, transparent, and based on active dialogue with our stakeholders.
Stockmann Group's management committee approved the corporate social responsibility policy for the business divisions in January 2011.
